  • Going to try Everest!

Have a read about Ford's new Prado competition.

Tested off road and all, and to be supplied here in Australia with economical diesel options.

Will it be a contender for future vehicle purchases? Only time will tell.

I watched a video on it this morning. Looks pretty good but if it's based off the Ranger then won't it fall apart? 😜

we used the everest's in east timor.. they are a less stiff body version of the ranger.. lots of maintenance issues and didnt like the rough roads
was no match for the Prado over there so unless they give them away Toyota have nothing to worry about

        I won't be trying Everest.

The problem starts at the front with the badge and gets worse the further you go back.

I didn't think it had been released yet - how did you use one in East Timor? Was it a pre production one?

Think that's the model used in the BBC World's most dangerous roads - Madagascar episode. By the end the rear panel was missing. But they never said why

Geez ... these new technologies make me feel part driver, part pilot and part passenger all at once.
Don't know if I'm comfortable handing over more control to the black box.

Your not kidding , when my Dad was still alive he used to make Fords and all ways warned me "son dont ever buy these car their crap " course I took no notice of him and bought the lot and every one gave me nothing but grief and all cost me dearly personally wouldn't have one for free now, saw a motif on a toilet wall which summed them up for me it said " God made lemons and Ford put wheel's on them" for me sooooooooooooo true............

Given that there is suggestion of a new Prado which I am happy to wait for (current 2012 GXL D auto) due for replacement in 3/2016
this is worth a look , any thoughts?
