  • Compliance Plate?

    Hi all,

Just went to check the compliance plate on my new prado for the paint code and for the life of me I can't find it. Every vehicle I've owned has a metal stamped plate stuck on the firewall, but unless it is hidden behind all the sound insulation I certainly can't see one.

Anybody able to shed some light on this?

Also if anyone knows where to find the paint codes for the toyota colours would be appreciated as well. (I'll go check the toyota web site now).
    Cheers,
    Baz.

I thought the same with mine. There's two plates on the 120 one on the firewall and one one the passenger side. Near the fuel filter
    Cheers

Open the passenger door, check the lower portion of the pillar & you should find the plates.

Thanks for the assistance guys, yes mine is on the passenger door pillar as well Grumpy.

I must be getting old, because I thought I looked there and didn't see anything - so the question is - "is it my eyes going, or my mind cracking up?"
        Cheers,
        Baz.

You really want a diagnosis without attending the clinic?

              Thank you,

Looked under the bonnet, then had a serious look, then a WTF look !!

Drivers door, tail gate................. why would a passenger need to read the compliance plate ?

If a police officer wanted to look at it, its not on the traffic side of the road! Seems like as good a place as any to put it.

                  Cheers Andrew

And it is a great place to snag an expensive dress on the sharp corner.
