  • Trying to save random CD songs onto a Zipdrive

Hi. I have searched the forums and so far havent found this topic, so i thought i would start a new one. I am trying to store random CD songs on a Zipdrive for when we are out and about with no radio reception. Does /has anyone done this succesfully . Have tried several ways as described on Youtube , but i keep getting "ERROR 01" when i try and play them in my Prado 150.
Thanks, and a Happy New Year to all, Trev

You will need to save them in a file format that your car stereo can read.

iTunes can do it to MP3. You will need to change the default settings within itunes, but on Windows or MAC, iTunes is what you need..
It is also a good library system for home music..

Agree with Blakmoth-check format of zip/flash drive. From memory it will need to be fat otherwise car audio wont recognise it.

Finally got it to work, used Windows Media, found the 64 was to big, ended up using a 16, played around with settings, and now all go. Thanks, Trev

64gb should work without a problem, try formatting as fat32 instead of fat. I'm using a 64gb drive myself in the pradopoint without any issue.
To convert the CDs you can also try audiograbber, it will automatically name the files for you.

I agree that iTunes is an easy way to keep your files organised, give it a try.
