    I prefer your version Iron-Paww.

Crikey, you just gave me the reason to remove all those Abba albums from the car! Oh, if I did that... I would be hearing drums ...

          Iron-paww. there is potential.
Your Abba theory ??? i do see it a possibility... I do I do I do..
I bet there was Something in the air that night, but with out water for the Water loo, mmmm
You would hope that someone saw your SOS. or if you had a sat phone you could Ring ring up some help.
but Knowing me, knowing you, uhh ahh, you would not be traveling alone. but Mamma mia, think of all the Money money money going up in smoke... but When all is said and done, its lucky no one got hurt. You'd be so happy you'd be like a Dancing queen. like When I kissed the teacher.

so when The visitors saw the Super trooper turn up they said "I've been waiting for you" and " it went up Just like that.
they would need to give the Super trooper some gifts to thank him, maybe some CD's. But he would have to Thank you for the music. but for Two for the price of one he got a good deal. if asked if he could help he would say Take a chance on me. well thats what I would say, but That's me But you'd be so happy to see some one, youd be Head over heals wouldnt you. I could go On and on and on but One of us has to stop. its been So long since I started this that it feels like its Slipping Through My Fingers like honey honey..........

but when you travel you need to be safe. thats The name of the game....

not bad. there is 71 song titles to chose from... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:ABBA_songs
Reminds me of my safari in Africa. Somebody forgot the corkscrew and for several days we had to live on nothing but food and water.

so the old adage of buy a diesel if going bush cos the exhaust runs cooler as there is no cat convertor doesnt apply to modern diesels hey. I wouldnt have thought spinifex on a diesel exhaust would be much of a problem. ANy thoughts on that.
Lightforce 240Blitz driving lights, Rear hitch recovery point, GME tx3400 uhf, 64watt Uni-Solar cell, ARB CKMA12 Air compressor. all awaiting new vehicle to be delivered so they can be remounted.

Turbo Diesel exhausts will run much hotter than a NA petrol, especially if your working it hard.

Oh Geez... thats twice I've gotten in trouble in this thread. Some people just can't be helped.

Hey Jeff I just read that masterpiece. Bravo mate! However.... You DONT have the entire Abba collection in your house do you?? Keep it away from the Prado right..... I mean look what happens.....

So what type of extinguisher is best for a car fire? I guess some sort of smothering foam type? I mean, once all that plastic and paint gets going what the heck can you do to stop it?? Water surely wont do a lot, you'd need some type of fire inhibitor surely.

We carry a 1kg powder type extinguisher in the back, but i've been told that they only last for less than 6 seconds  I am thinking about either getting another one or maybe mounting this one in the front somewhere and getting a 1.5kg.

I'm sure i remember Malcolm Douglas talking about travelling in this country and always having a garden pump sprayer containing water and a bit of detergent as a wetting agent. The long neck is good for getting into the hard to see places, i think he also had a meter or so of wire which he used to scrape out any smouldering bits.

When I was getting some extinguishers re filled I asked the guy about recomended extinguishers for the work truck I was in. Had Oxy, Oil, cleaning chemicals, heaps of rubber hydraulic hose etc in it.
He mentioned that one big one is better then 2 small ones. more propellant and fire snuffing stuff. I really need to get one for the car. The camper has one tho.

Spinifex gets a resin coming out of it when hot enough. Burns like tar. doesnt like to be put out..... from doco's I've seen.

Yea I remember that show wire with a bit of a hook on the end to scoop out the burning grass and a back pack spray with a long nozzle to reach under the car. He also recommended driving with the windows down so you could smell the smoke before the fire really started.

I have use a dry chemical extinguisher before on a fire in a wooden cattle crate, as soon as you move off again the powder blows off and the fire starts again but next time you don't have an extinguisher to put it out.
