Dear All,
We are heading to the Kimberleys this 'winter', and whilst we were initially travelling with just a tent (Blackwolf 2.4plus) in the back of the Prado.
In order not to court disaster, we are hurriedly looking around at the possibility of purchasing a new or possibly 2nd hand Camper Trailer. I had previously researched the Kimberley Kamper brand, but am not sure about my desire to tow a 5 meter 'comfort blanket' for the trip, and then what to do with the item when we return to a relatively small suburban back yard.
I also am aware of the possibility existence of river crossings where a longer camper trailer might hit limitations because of 'bottoming out'.
I have seen reviews, of the PATRIOT X1, and this Friday (2 days away), am taking a look at one.
I but confess that whist the "storage size" of <3.2? meters is admirable, the small footprint does seem to sacrifice space for the 'mattress, and accommodation', with access to the bed being via ladder to a 'smaller volume' roof-top tent.
Although I have yet to see it first hand to be fully spatially aware of its dimensions, and feel.
Does anyone have any experience (ownership?) of the Patriot X1, and care to comment on their opinions or that experience?
Many Thanks
Peter
