  • 3 year warranty expiring what to check at this service

Have a 2012 150 Altitude diesel auto with the 3 year factory warranty expiring at the end of March 2015. Can anybody recommend specific things that should be checked when the service is carried out, that is that I should ask the dealer to check over and above what is in the hand book?
Will have done 40,000 km by the time service is due so the old gal has had a soft life to date with mainly on road travel.

Nothing really that shouldn't be checked in every service. If you want get them to check injector values, but I doubt they will do it anyway. It should be fine but if I was you just climb under yourself and make sure there is no leaks from anything and everything looks normal, if you find anything bring it to the dealers attention yourself.

Any thought about extending your warranty? From all that I hear and read on these forums is that this is a must with D4D!

      Cheers
D4D. How long will it last?

I would check my car by myself first for things like - oil leaks, excess of grease around propeller shafts etc... Anything you don't like or you believe it doesn't look right - put it on your list and ask dealer to fix it. Don't just ask them to check whatever they usually check.

When mine was due I took it to the RACQ for an end of warranty check, and got a written report
One shockie replacement was the result.

Try getting an RAA report piratepete.

I did this pre-purchase of my 120 - they'll report on faults/unroadworty issues but they dont touch the engine from memory...

The $1,100 spent on a dealer warranty saved me around $20,000+. Money well spent in my book.

Edit: AND meant they argued with Toyota rather than me.
