        Ic120_man,
We are definately planning to go with a group over the Simpson, so if you are making a list please include us.

I wonder if a moderator would consider making a special heading for all information pertaining to this trip. I mean as in "General Discusion", "120 Diesel" etc, under the main forum heading.

At this stage we would be looking for a powered site (can live with unpowered though) 2 x adults & 2 x kids

                Cheers

It varies between resorts but it is not cheap and they are not exactly what I would call luxury. The Glen Helen motel room is $160 per night for a double. If you would like to see what that gets you then send me a pm with your email address as I think you will be quite shocked.

Have you considered hiring a camper trailer locally in Alice?

Johnos Camper Trailers hire here and their trailers look in really good nick. I just saw one behind a thrifty landcruiser this morning down town and it looked very good indeed.

Even the saved fuel would go a bit of the way to help Russ if you can just get your stuff there and back without trailer in tow.

                            Yeah. Its getting like that.
It needs a whole section dedicated just for it, Not just stickies in each section. but a whole section in itself. Then threads could go on from there.
The place is getting Stickied out.

The GTG is a Fantastic Idea too. top marks.... 100%...

Reminds me of my safari in Africa. Somebody forgot the corkscrew and for several days we had to live on nothing but food and water.
