Sealing Bolt Hole From Old Bracket In Cargo Floor

Looking at purchasing an Ex Rental 2012 Prado, that has a bracket installed in the Cargo Area for a second spare wheel. I would remove this, have been told that I should be able to plug it up easy.

Experience/Advice would be appreciated.

I presume it has had bolt holes drilled through the floor and it is these that you want to seal up? If so you should be able to pick up some rubber grommets from supercheap/autobarn/wherever to push into the holes. If it wasn't done when the drilled the holes you might want to paint the unpainted edges to stop corrosion.

Thorughly clean (metho/thinners) the metal around the holes, let dry, insert appropriately sized rubber plugs that have been smeared with sikaflex 227, and the repaired hole will outlive the rest of the Prado....
