That is impressive. the clip had me interested to find out more and check out the reviews.
What is also attractive is the pre-order price.

Very cool. Would be fun to test it out and see if it is actually useful.

Would be a clever bit of kit to take away...perfect for convoy videos and etc...$650 is relatively reasonable too...the full retail is a bit excessive...i could have my 2" lift for that.

Unfortunately Anders I have it on good authority that under current CASA regs it would be illegal to fly one of these in Oz.

            http://www.casa.gov.au/wcmswr/_asset...101/101c03.pdf

Rules state you must must have full control and also have a spotter. Also if you made any money from videos and photos taken with the quad is deemed a commercial enterprise and therefore you would need to obtain a pilot's licence and certification from CASA. CASA do watch YouTube and have fined people for flouting the regs.

Don't get me wrong, I think it would be neat, but proceed with caution on this one.

Thought spotters were only required for FPV?

                  Edit:
What part of the legislation covers being in full control? You could argue this ones under the free flight model provisons

Grey area still for all multirotors. Most have some sort of autonimous flight mode. So long as you're not over populated areas, are more than 5km from an airport and don't exceed an altitude of 400' CASA won't have anything to complain about.

I can see a new national sport of shooting the things out of the sky. They will become annoying like un-licenced trail bikes ripping through the 'burbs on a Sunday morning. I've already declared my street an Amazon no fly zone.

They're already everywhere. It isn't the responsible pilots you need to be wary of its the bloody muppets that have no clue, buy cheap shit with no fail safes or RTH function and fly them out of range over populated areas. Or the others doing long range FPV over populated areas again with cheap crap.
It's a great hobby but yet another one that's ultimately going to be ruined by a few with no regard for the rules. Same reason good tracks and camp sites get closed down.
