It's amazing isn't it, in his first paragraph it's made clear he will never make a meaningful contribution to the forum, and by post 2 starts abusing people for not giving him free advice on how to run his business.

Anyway, if your reading this you have the answer to your problem in one of the above posts, but I am too much of a snob to point out which one

        Cheers Andrew

I read his original post and subsequent answer to SWMBO and her reply was the same as Joel's along with ...... "what an a$$ clown, he needs to read How to Win Friends and Influence People!"
I'm still cracking myself self up everytime I think about it.

I put it down to the incorrect grade of headlight fluid.

I wonder if his 90 is the one I saw yesterday running pink headlights? Very handy in the rain.

Unfortunately the problem lies not within the load resistors but the flux capacitor and using scotch locks will only exacerbate your problem.

It may not be the flux capacitor, it sounds like the lights he is selling are fitted with magnetohydrodynamic modulators, if this is the case when you flick to high beam they will produce a low whining noise that sounds like Bette Midler singing "wind beneath my wings"

At the risk of reopening an old wound...
I recently purchased some LED headlight upgrades. (Don't worry it wasn't from anyone on Gumtree). They work great but I subsequently discovered that my spotlights weren't working anymore. I did some checking and worked out that the relay is no longer getting enough juice from the high beam feed to activate.

I've since had a bit of a google and can see that the solution may be a led load resistor. From what I can see most of the "kits" available are created for indicator flasher unit issues. They also state that these resisters get very hot. I imagine if these are across your headlights, they're going to get a whole lot more duty cycle than the odd indicator use, so I'm not sure if this is the best solution.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? What is the best solution? Head off to Jaycar for an inline resistor? Buy a load resistor kit from Narva or someone else? Is there a more sensitive relay I could be using?

sounds a bit weird to me mate, i say you have a dodgy connection or something like that, as a relay that would be running off your headlight feed takes bugger all power to switch. So id first double check all the wiring etc before getting load resistors etc. even if it had the original lights in there and they were blown the headlights would still activate.

                              Cheers Joel
