  • 4x4 inspection Brisbane.

    Hi guys,

I am off to Fraser soon and was wondering if anyone knows of a reputable place in Brisbane (preferably north) where I can take the prado for an inspection to make sure she's all good to go.

    Regards,
    Andrew.

I would suggest if it regularly serviced by a reputable mechanic you shouldn't need a pre trip check to go to Fraser, I know if any of my customers want a pre trip check I will talk them out of it unless they are going across the desert, up the Cape, etc. The only reason I do a check before the Cape, desert, etc. is usually they will do at least 5,000Km on one of those trips, so it probably needs at least a minor service before they go. A post trip inspection is much more important than a pre trip check, to find all those loose bits and flogged out parts before they cause more damage.

Goggos recommendation was: "his shop is in Brewer street Burpengary just off the Eastern service road. His name is Dave and he is a good honest mechanic which is had to find. He is always flat out which is a testament to his quality of work. His number is 38888552 tell him Dean sent you"

I do agree and thanks for the reply.

Yeah she came back from her 110k service last month with no issues.
You could say I would rather be safe than sorry.

That being said though, this guy does both my cars and he does a good job.

Yeah they are a dime a dozen... The guy I go to is pretty good in my opinion.
I don't think she'll need it, but for future reference, it would be good to know if someone does.

Like I said, if you did the 110 last month just enjoy Fraser and don't think about the car. When you get back get a check done and anything fixed the has gone wrong. These vehicles are built to handle the 4wd conditions, you won't have any issues
