I literally laughed out loud at this....

If it comes up about someone we know having an affair, our convo usually goes like this:
Her: "you better not have an affair"
Me: "bugger that, its hard enough keeping one woman happy - let alone bloody two"!

when the better half mentions that i reply
"no way it was hard enough to train the first one, I'm not going through that again ! "
HER: "REALLY !", who has trained who ?? "
ME: "well it is now quite obvious who hasn't been listening then, isn't it, if you have to ask who again ! "

just remember it's only the depth that changes !! we are always neck deep in the s*#t, treading water

then i drop the dishes so she doesn't ask me to do that again

I've got a couple...

1. Cleaning out the garage. Its been half full of old furniture etc since we moved here 3.5 years ago. Needs to be sorted and everything sold that we don't want. Prado doesn't fit in there anyway, but my wifes car does and we have gym equipment in there that I need to use lol

2. Cut up a 44gal drum and make a fire pit. But this one can wait until next year as its getting pretty warm already so its not a high priority.

3. Get rid of the pile of palm fronds hiding next to the shed. Starting to get a bit out of control.

Just had two weeks off and only managed to take one load of palm fronds to the tip. haha. Was too busy doing anything else.

Well... time to puke out my lists...

Finish laundry... replace cupboards and washbasin.
Tile front porch
Move the gravel from where it was delivered to fill my holes in the driveway. (I actually asked them to dump it in my driveway but they decided against as it would block it off.... bastards! It'd be finished by now!!)
Finish building the home theatre speakers. Have all the components and even got as far cutting all the wood to size.
Also have the materials and wood cut to size for my recording studios near field monitors and my daughters stereo. She has quit asking me... lol.
Install the new down lights in the living room
Replace the spa pump
Replace the guttering
Repair the gates and finally install the automatic gate controller and intercom
Sort out the mess that I call a back porch...
Find what I did with her veggie patch (I know it was there a few years ago)
Rebuild the rear steps off the balcony
Repair the central heating piping under the house

Oh man... I'm getting exhausted just typing it all. Think I'll finish tomorrow hahaha

I have been giving this some thought. Rather than just blindly fulfilling your challenge, I propose we form a committee, to meet at least twice a week to discuss your proposal. Anyone may enrol on the committee with meeting to be held at pubs that also serve a decent meal. No work should commence on said tasks until every meeting Australia wide has discussed OH&S, prioritising, the potential to delegate and other relevant matters. Procedural documents will then be commissioned to ensure all tasks are done efficiently and correctly while minimising stress, risk and hazards.

I agree with the committee meetings, these are mandatory. Though, if we want to be taken seriously, they should be "Integrated Project Team" (IPT) meetings.

You did however forget that we must address the environmental effects of the work to be undertaken. This should, along with any risks/hazards identified, be expanded upon in an appropriate risk assessment, to be signed by all who will be carrying out the work.

Someone will be need to be employed full time to update the templates of all of the procedural documents, which are likely to change for no reason every 3 days.

Finally, I believe that any decisions made by the committee (or IPT), regardless of the "autonomy" given to make decisions, will need to be reviewed by our superiors (who may reside in another country and not actually understand a) English or b) the technical aspects of the tasks being undertaken), ensuring that they have the opportunity to explain that we are going about it all wrong, and then proceed to tell us how they would do it.

I can honestly say I don't have any half finished projects, other than my Sunday Drive. The reason I don't have any half finished projects is that I worked out years ago if you don't start anything you will never have anything unfinished.

In our house it works like this, the missus mentions something that needs doing, I say get some quotes. She does and sometime in the near future the work is done, as if by magic. It's great we don't have any arguments and the job is completed far better than I could have in the first place. All I have to do is cover the cost.

When SWMBO asks for a job to be done I say I am busy at the moment, when I get them finished I will look at it.
If I did not have a list of half finished jobs, I would have 2 A4 pages of jobs of jobs to do for her. lol

This weekend is being spent doing the entire thing.
