Buying a new prado 95 how to test it .

I have right now a prado 2001 with 3rz fe 2700 motor , pretty good , but i want to buy a 3,4 5vz fe , the question come from the moment that i want a automatic , and dont know how to test a automatic case .

Any advice . Thanks .

There a pretty bullet proof box in the 90's. There actually the same box that's in the old 80 series cruisers. Just check the gear change is smooth, when you plant your foot it kicks back down through the gears. Make sure the over drive works. Check the transmission fluid is a nice pinky colour. If it's dark then it may have not been serviced and will require one. There a pretty hardy box with normally minimal troubles
