My D4D has no signs of cracking despite dual batteries, gets a good work out from time to time and that usually involves a camper in tow at the same time. That said, the first diesel motor was only good for $76,000km. How much or a workout?, well the after market (amts) bash plates have undergone a significant amount of "testing" No point having a 4wd that doesn't 4wd.
I thought the cracking was mostly attributed to incorrectly fitted steel bars where the rubber mounts (chassis to frame) were overtightened, may be wrong.... usually am...[B][COLOR=blue]Bitumen: A blatant waste of taxpayers money![/COLOR][/B]
