      My D4D has no signs of cracking despite dual batteries, gets a good work out from time to time and that usually involves a camper in tow at the same time. That said, the first diesel motor was only good for $76,000km. How much or a workout?, well the after market (amts) bash plates have undergone a significant amount of "testing" No point having a 4wd that doesn't 4wd.

      I thought the cracking was mostly attributed to incorrectly fitted steel bars where the rubber mounts (chassis to frame) were overtightened, may be wrong.... usually am...

          Im guessing this prado is one to stay away from, especially carrying that bull bar
