  • Is it time for Pradopoint to change ownership?

Without trying to be controversial which I may be from time to time, it is evident that the owner of this forum may not have the time to devote to its upkeep, or the drive perhaps due to other more profitable ventures.

I am speculating of course and it would be a real shame to see the contributions of so many people simply lost Those people include Aron as the owner, Piggy, Matt, Andrew and a myriad of others that I don't know that have acted as moderators of this forum.

I have spoken to some moderators I know who perform a thankless task and even they have difficulty reaching Aron. Perhaps its time for change, but its my two cents to say the efforts of contributors need to be preserved. I think (but not sure) we signed over ownership of that material, but in fairness, if in fact Aron has lost interest I hope he won't have an issue assigning that to a new forum owner.

Anyway, just my thoughts, I don't want to see the end of this forum but as an example I saw many people complaining on facebook that they have tried to join for 12 months and have not been admitted. All the signs are there and unless something changes, the end result is inevitable.

MLC, thank you for raising your concerns. There are no plans to change the ownership of this site.

You are correct that the moderators give their time and it is a thankless task. Thank you Mods.

I have no control over the Facebook page & I'm not privy to what takes place there. I believe it was set up some time ago by a previous member and the ownership was not transferred to me.

I have plans to revamp the site and upgrade it to the latest version of the software. Unfortunately, the newest version is horrendous and many forums that have upgraded have regretted it. I am contemplating migrating to another platform however that will have far reaching consequences.

Where the site needs attention or there are issues that need addressing, both the mods and I are available and I am a little surprised by your post.

I think we have all done a great job at keeping this forum going and it has survived a number of significant events.

I can assure you that Pradopoint will be around for a long time yet.
