    Hi there,

I know you fellow Pradopointers are a bunch of good people, so the person this is about may not be found here....
I am reaching out for a fellow road user, whose car got damaged yesterday (Cup day) at the Chocolatier in Yarra Glen.
Between 10-11 AM, a white 150-series Prado GX (black bull-bar, no spare wheel cover) reversed from the carpark and in the process sideswiped the Holden Commodore parked next to it.
I saw it all happen in front of me, but at the time it looked like really-tight parking..
The owner of the Commodore only returned moments later, but then the Prado was gone. It left the car park just behind an older style 4WD (they may have been together).
If this was you, please do the right thing and make yourself known (if you PM me, I have the driver's details).
Frankly, I believe you if you have not even noticed this, but the Commodore owner certainly has.

Other than that, I just love my Prado ;-) Just ticked over 100.000 k's

    Have a good day

Well done bruggie. I also hate people that drive into your car and then dive off. Has happened to me couple of times over the years.

      I work in insurance.

If you have the Prado rego number, and the owner of the Commodore has insurance, his insurance company will be able to trace the Prado from it's rego. Combined with a witness, you, they will then hold the Prado at fault. Only problem is it can take up to 12-weeks to perform a rego search in Victoria!

      Cheers.

Good luck with that. Without their name and address you'll be paying your excess and sitting back awaiting the recovery process. Remember the Insurer has fight dips on the recovery money...

It's all on the dashcam....except for the rego. Would have thought that a witness and camera footage would be enough but apparently not so. Not happy with myself for failing to write down the rego but I relied on the camera and wasn't sure of any damage at that point. The dashcam is usually pretty good but can't do too much wich a side view and the next rear view was too far away.
