I have what may be a silly question, if your office is closed weekends and public holidays how do we contact someone if we need a recovery, as the majority of people do their family or individual off road trips during those times.
Cheers Prado

the only silly question is the one that isn't asked!
So our recovery coverage doesn't actually provide you with someone to recover the vehicle, it provides you with financial compensation toward the cost of the recovery. You will need to arrange the recovery yourself by an authorised and licensed towing agent and then send us the invoice.

Hope that helps.
What do you mean by "authorised and licensed towing agent" ?
I've signed up last week!! When I asked the same question few weeks ago, I was told as long as I can provide a valid invoice for the recovery service I'll be OK up to the limit.
Appreciate if you can clear this up.

Hi there,
Sure no problem.
A recovery will need to occur by a licensed towing or recovery organisation. Ie - if your out in the Simpson you'd be calling the Birdsville Roadhouse Recovery truck.

Read your PDS Shan!
The policy indicates what you have said is correct - it doesnt require an 'authorised" or "licenced" towing agent, only that you require assistance from a third party.

Hope this clears things up.
Great thank you!! Is there a national/state register of some sort we can lookup licensed towing agents?
Or what's the best way to make sure the recovery is covered, if I can't get in touch prior to the recovery?

I did mate.. wasn't sure because it wasn't descriptive.
So when I saw the previous post about licensed towing agents, I wanted to clear it up.
Cheers,
Shan

Thank you for providing a decent alternative.
I do have an email that I sent in regarding the lack of mention of my vehicle finance in the Certificate of Insurance. I did have it mentioned in the quote I proceeded with. -- Waiting to get feedback on that.

Wow... Visited the club 4x4 website for an online quote. Insurance on the Prado with a multi policy discount was about $200 more than I currently pay and I am covered anywhere i am legally entitled to be
BUT the caravan is almost $2500, double what i am paying now and I thought that was costly.......
