  • 2017 Pradopoint GTG in WA

Here's a teaser for you guys.
We are in the initial stages of planning the 2017 Get Together here in Western Australia! Apparently WA is the only state left that hasn't held one.
Just a few brief early details(subject to adjustments).

Location: Gibb River Road, Kununurra to Broome.
Dates: Early June 2017, for approximately 2 weeks.

Now I know, it's not going to line up with school holidays for anyone, but to see this area at it's best, you've gotta go early in the season.
As is usually the case, numbers will be limited, probably to around 25 to 30 vehicles.
This will also be by no means a cheap trip either as camping on the Gibb is expensive but worth it, and being remote, prices for everything are up there. It's not going to be like the $6 camping in Tassie!

So, what do you reckon? Excited?
    Can't we just keep travelling?

Bring it on I say! I've already been through a dozen different options for getting too and from this trip which would be awesome. Not to mention the Kimberly being my all time favorite destination.

        Cheers Andrew

Very keen. Got to work out logistics so we can spend some extra time over there to make the trip worthwhile. Maybe hang onto the camper and freight the camper over to use on the GTG and haul the Tajmahal...

I got home yesterday from our 7 1/2 month trip around Aus with 1 month from Kununurra to Broome via the Gibb including a side trip to Kalumburu. We had already decided to head back to WA in 2017 before we had even got home from this trip. It will be a great trip for a GTG. Some great camping spots along the Gibb. Fuel was between $2.08 and $2.45 so be prepared. So watch out for the big red Cruiser it will be in the area.

What's that you say? 2017? I've been wondering how to use my long service leave which is due in 2016...

Lou and I talked about this on the way back from Tassie. We'd be super keen to go back.
