3.0L GXL Windows controlled by remote

Hey 150series guys, I just got back from my local Toyota dealer and I have my prado going in on Monday to have it hooked up to the Tech-Stream computer to have the auto windows function switched on and he asked if there were any other features I would like activated at the same time....So I thought you guys know your $h1t. So is there anything else worth activating aswell. Cheers to all in advance.

Does it Open and Close with Remote control? I got mine done yesterday at Toyota during my free service just checked when reached home, its only closing the windows when locking the door but doesnt open them when unlocking the car

So Its unloking button to open and locking button to close right? thats what i tried maybe i will give it a go again when back home in the evening.

Tried again but only closing function is working... Not the opening one.. any ideas??

Maybe they didnt program both ways. Mine goes up with lock and down with open. Takes a couple of seconds to activate

It takes 2.5 secs to activate either up or down and you must hold the button down and release it when you want to stop the windows at the required level.

Yep - hold unlock down, hold lock up. Starts with front windows and then rear a fraction later. Great for cooling the car down before getting in, or putting them up after hopping out.

Is there are two separate programmable features for this.. I might have to call the toyota dealership to get it done

Maybe there is, the Toyota guys told me some vehicles are sold with the feature enabled and some aren't it's a lucky dip. I can't understand why they aren't all enabled because it's not an annoying feature that is all that easy to use, you need to hold the button for sometime before it works.

Yeah, using techstream there are separate toggles to enable opening and closing. Sounds like they only turned it on to close the windows.

I got the window features enabled on my car during the minor service. Funny enough the dealer them self didn't even know such exist until i told them.

So they did that but there was one more feature that i requested for which is for the car to lock itself after a certain speed is reached but they couldn't do it as they said my 2012 glx didn't have that module so they can't enable it.
