  • Help restoring faded paint on wheel arch flares

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, but I cant seem to find anything relating to it.

My rear wheel arch flares are starting to fade & lose their shine, I was just wondering if anyone else had this issue and if so, what is the best way of bringing back the shine?

I use a 2 or 3 stage process, such as Meguairs, depending on bad the fade or scratches are. Normally either a fine cut cleaner or ultimate compound then polish and finish off with a good carnuba wax. Ifthings are really deep I will start with a coarser cutting compound. You can use either hand polishing or machine buff. Remember modern paint is a base colour with a clear finish. Cut too deep and you can wreck the finish where only a re-paint will fix it.
