    MERRY CHRISTMAS

Christmas is almost upon us - again. Where has 2015 gone? Seems like only a few weeks ago I was having a few quiet beers on Cable Beach after finishing work.

It's mad out there now, everywhere. People rushing around, spending money (in many cases money they don't really have), getting things ready for Christmas day. All that eating, drinking, indulging. Some will be with family and friends, some will be isolated. Some will finish up in a not so nice condition.

Let us all reflect on the good times, the memories, the adventures, the laughs that we have shared along the journey that was 2015. Let us all look forward to a new year with more great times. Hopefully, those times will revolve around your Prado so remember what it is that brings us together whether face to face or via this forum. Respect the views of others and don't get too personal. There are lots of less fortunate people out there, people who are not able to climb into their 4WD and enjoy the great Aussie outdoors, sharing their experiences with other like-minded individuals. Value the freedoms that we enjoy in this magnificent country and sharing that with good friends has been the highlight of the year for me.

Spare a thought for all those that will be working and on duty over the festive season - the emergency services (including the vollies), the doctors and nurses, our defence force personnel serving overseas, the carers and those poor shop assistants that will be exposed to the post-Christmas sales mayhem.

Have a great Christmas and all the best for 2016 and beyond. Stay safe.
    Dave

Christmas? Bah humbug! I'm going camping for the next week. Hopefully miss some of the mayhem you speak of.
I certainly don't envy the triple zero hero's around this time of year, so take it easy people.
      Cheers Dave, and happy Christmas.

Just walked down Pitt Street at lunchtime. HECTIC!

Merry Christmas to you and yours Dave.

We've got a family Christmas at home for the first time in 5 years this year so we will be Skyping the UK family on Xmas day so they can join us when the grand kids open the presents for the first time. And then out enjoying the country camping on a property until 4th Jan with a good group of friends ( No phones for 6 days. Bliss.

He's not the messiah, he's just a really naughty boy. Do people born on this day feel ripped off? Did your parents deliberately plan your birth that way with the aim to save money on presents?
