I've said it before and I'll say it again. Nothing will shift that gunk other than hard scrubbing and scraping after disassembling the components. There is an abrasive putty that performance engine builders use to sculpt out inlet manifolds in order to get the flow happening. But, once again, it can only be used after disassembly.

Thanks for puting it in basic terms and I agree. Is there a comprehensive , step by step guide document to the process of pulling this gear down and cleaning the EGR for dummies like myself. I would like to give it a go but am unsure how long it would take and what tools are needed. I know its a big ask but you never know. Any help would be appreciated.
