  • LED Headlight globe

    Hi All
I'm wanting to upgrade my weak headlights on my 2008 120 series to H4 LED's.
Has anyone done this and if so any recommendations please. I've heard various reports some good some bad.
    Thanks
    George

Hi George, I think you'll find that if you do the swap you'll be happy for awhile but then realize they arent all that good. Ive tried them all... cheap leds, expensive leds, cheap hids and expensive hids. In the end I settled for higher output halogens but I fed them power directly through a relay mounted at the battery. In doing so I gained an extra two volts and retained my light spread pattern which I lost with every other type of bulb I tried.

Interesting - do you mean that feeding them direct from the battery gave 2V more at the bulb compared to the factory loom?

How many watts are your bulbs?

Does anyone know if the 150 can detect if you do this - ie does it throw a warning because there isn't enough load on the headlight circuit?
