  • Samsung GS4 Bluetooth - Ringtone with Bluetooth

I have a 2009 150 Prado Kakadu and use my Samsung GS4 connected via bluetooth to the car system.

It works very well, except, incoming calls get answered automatically with no ringtone.
If the radio is on, it cuts out and suddenly you're connected.
If the radio is off, you suddenly you find you're connected without any warning.

My preference would be for a warning ring or two before it's answered, but I can't find how to set this, on the phone or the car, or even if it's possible.

    Anybody have any clues?
    Thanks. Geoff

I thought this was adjustable via the radio but having just looked at the book I can't find an answer there .

Is your phone set to auto answer incoming calls when not connected to blue tooth ?

On my S5 in the settings under "Call" there is an option to turn "auto answer" on or off when connected to bluetooth

Well after reading the f Prado Owners Manual again, and then being referred to the f Navigation Manual, there was nothing there.
Turning to the f GS4 manual, I found under Settings> My Device> Call> Call Accessories> the bluetooth Auto Answer setting and Auto Answer Timer setting which was set to 2 seconds. But there was no obvious setting for sounding a ring tone via bluetooth during this time.

So I've set it to 5 secs which will at least give me a bit more of a clue to stop singing if the radio was on.
When I tested it there was a low ring from the the phone, a short burst from the car system and then it answered.

Not what I was hoping for, which was a proper ring from the car system before answering.
