First accident in in 2 month old prado!

So, I was just in an accident.

Stopped at red light, hire car (with people from overseas) mistaking the accelerator for brake and ran into the back of me.

Got all the details, but just annoying!

I'm with 4x4 club insurance, can anyone recommend a good choice of repairer in Victoria?

That's a bummer. Hardly a write-off, looks cosmetic. My brother did more damage reversing into a steel bollard. New bumper and rear door, all fixed.

I pulled a tree down on top of mine at 2 months and then scraped the bull bar and front left flare going around a tree before she was 12 months old.

New bumper and rear door, all fixed.

And a new spare wheel cover if I'm not mistaken, looks damaged in the photo.

All the damage is on easily replaceable items so its a simple fix. Much worse when it is body panels.

First week in mine went camping with a mate down a very narrow scrub lined track. Five years later the pin strips are still there.

Even then, I've had several Hilux repaired at work that rear ended the alloy tray of a ute in front (three incidents), all of the them lunched the bullbar, bonnet, radiator, guards, lights the whole front works. All were repaired, costing more than $10k each.

Side not, steel bullbars to nothing to protect a front end, so much so that we are not going to spend $2k fitting them to our work trucks anymore.

And for the record, the alloy trayed utes where fine!

I'd say your car would be fixed in a day.

It pains me to have a brand new car smashed, as I always feel that once it is repaired it is no longer factory standard as the parts are not made in the factory itself. Bummer.

Genuine parts come from the same place as the original, and now you'll worry less when you take it off road.
