but I reckon the brilliant ideas, new mates, group tech days experiences, pradopoint chat evenings and pradopoint weekends away; couldn't be bought for a million bucks.
Spot on Matt ..... and to pinch Samo's words ... "couldn't agree more !!"

I agree. I am normally willing to try DIY, but usually end up stuffing it up. The info from this site is invaluable in inspiring me to do it, but also in offering much needed tech tips to help along the way.

I've never really understood how the advertising stuff works. Do they pay for simply putting their ads on our page or does Pradopoint get more if we actually open up the links. If the latter, I'm sure most members would have no objection to opening a link each week if it meant more evenue for the site.

So yes, it might be only rated at about USD$2g, but I reckon the brilliant ideas, new mates, group tech days experiences, pradopoint chat evenings and pradopoint weekends away; couldn't be bought for a million bucks.

Other times when I have brought new vehicles I have always researched, or attempted to research and get information on the vehicle. When the internet became established it was certainly a valuable tool, but the information I could find was nearly all from the manufacturer or media with a bias. Pradopoint is one of the best sites I have found. My mind was made up that I was going to get a Prado, but the offer on the other P 4x4 was certainly tempting. But to be honest I had always been a Toyota bloke through my years as a Hilux owner and even though a tad disappointed with my new Hilux, I still thought it a superior vehicle to competitors. So when I went searching and found Pradopoint and read all the valuable input, it validated my decision. Although I only had to wait four weeks for the vehicle, this site proved invaluable in making the time pass. I also thought it a brilliant opportunity for manufacturers of aftermarket goods to clean up. We all start spending while waiting for the vehicle and it is interesting to watch just what spends some have. Good on you if you can afford it and enjoy it then why not. The fascinating thing for me is that I am generally a bit of a cynic and proably very wary of advertising, however the enthusiasm of those enjoying and using this site made me feel completely relaxed and confident enough to post. Prado point has helped me and I'm sure others, enjoy and understand my new Prado and to plan my useage. Thanks, for me, you could never put a monetary value on such a down to earth asset.
Cheers
