We went down the Everest Path and ended up selling after 14 months, There was a number of very annoying things
    - No recover point Anywhere
    - Cheap plastics
    - Terrible Gearbox ( forever revving and rolling gears over )
    - Plastic fuel tank guard ( broke first 4wd trip )
    - Ad Blue
    - Terrain Selector, Overated
    - Clearance 225 ? Nope about 190 at best
( this was annoying 6months old factory tyres and pressure )
There was 4 or so spots well under 220.

We really like our Kakadu, on road it's a little slower but believe me it's still nicer to drive the Prado has the power there you just next to put your foot down a little further, the Everest is very throttle seanative goes like a dog out a gate but that's it put your foot to the floor it really does not go much better than 1/4 throttle

Off-road Prado hands down, The Everest is way too stiff and has no flex it lifts wheels all the time.
Longevity was a concern with the ford too but the classification saga was the final straw even worse was how they delt with the issue

I took the Kakadu away 4wding over the holiday brake to the high country In complete Show room Floor Trim, Except a snorkel and rear diff breather, it really was impressive it did not miss a beat the tracks turned greasy quick after a solid day of rain, all the other 4wd in our group were heavily modified and they thought I had no chance of making the long steep climb back out of the valley but it was no problem at all.

They've fixed the classification issue with the Everest now. Not that it makes it more capable.
