  • rear mud flaps

    Hello all,

does anyone know the part numbers for the rear mud flaps on a 120 series GXL Prado. I am having difficulty finding them on the Amayama site.

    cheers:

    rear mud flaps

7662660170FO is the Toyota part number.
I tried to find them on Amayama too and couldn't.
They are about $90 each from Toyota
I just need the rear passenger side flap.

Wreckers don't seem to have too many 120's!!

        Hi Dazzman
Just today enquired at Toyota at Prospect about rear left mud flap.
Said goodbye to that one recently thanks to some muddy tracks.
7662660170FO was the p/n. quoted $105.50 ex. Melbourne.
        Cheers

          thanks Foxclan.

my idea was to modify a set for when i am towing my challenge camper trailer by making them longer similar to NTPRICE and use the other set when not towing!

I have checked with wreckers in Adelaide and everywhere else but to no avail. Looks like i may have to bite the bullet and get a new set and use the originals for adding to.

I wanted to extend my mudflaps because I tow a caravan and want to protect it from rocks .

I wanted to extend my mudflaps because I tow a caravan and want to protect it from rocks thrown up by the back wheels.
So I bought a pair of black genuine hi-lux alloy tray mudflaps off ebay. Only paid $28 delivered! Plan is to attach them using strong cable ties so I can remove them when not needed.

Just be cautious when adding on to the OEM flaps.
Prior to our 2010 Trip To The Tip, I added extra rubber sourced from Clark Rubber to the Prado flaps all round.
Pulled one rear off when reversing out of a "Lack of traction moment" eg. the flap got pushed onto the rear tyre when backing up.
I recon the addition of some polyurethane sheet cut to suit the profile of OEM flap and fixed to the wheel well liner fixing point may be a good option.
