  • How much does your Toyota workshop charge per hour??

Just found out today our local dealer charges $154.00 per hour,..... OMG! WTF? I work in a truck dealership and we only charge $132.00
It seems they employ young staff so they must be making fortune on their labour rates.

    Oh what a feeling,...... ;-(

I work in the bike industry and they charge from $100 - $140 / hour, so IMO $154 is not that outrageous considering the fit outs they have to fund to keep the franchise. Got to pay for it somehow?

Your not just paying for the apprentice to do your service. There is also the Concierge, service manager and a couple of office people at least to pay for. Lots of overheads there

There's fair bit factored in to shop rates, power, insurance, phones, equipment (diag type, not tools) general shop + wages.

That is why I am happy to deal with a small two man operation than a dealership.

yeah guys I understand the running costs of a dealership, I work in a heavy truck dealership and we only charge $132, so I was just surprised that they would charge more to work passenger vehicles that's all,

            Thanks for the feedback
