Auto Transmission L2 not Shifting

Hi there I have just bought a 2005 Prado GXL V6 5sp Auto, 264000kms. I'm still learning how to operate the vehicle as i am used to manual 4x4's. I am having trouble shifting into L2? Tried every combination and had a good play around still no go. What am I missing? Any feedback will be appreciated thanks

I take it you mean 2nd gear and 1st gear (low).
Not low range 2wd. Which it doesn't have....

You need to pull the stick slightly to the left and down from 3rd. That will drop it into 2nd.
Then a tap to the left will drop it into L.

Sometimes they bind on the plastic in console and need a bit of a "tap" to seat them home.

Don't forget to have the auto in neutral before attempting to go into low range. It is a wiggly gate and it can be a bit sticky if it hasn't been used much.
