Recently the incandescent 24V courtesy lights in my ATA roller door blew and it made me think - could you run a 24V LED worklamp off the power supply or even a set of strip lights in the garage to provide a courtesy light. My roller door has a courtesy light that can be run for up to 15mins after operation... could also rig one up as a light over the driveway to provide a bit of light whilst you get to the front door...
So far my attempt to rig a spare 12-24V 6 LED (18W) light bar to the roller has been unsuccessful. It has been interfering with the remote, whilst its connected the door does not respond, however if I connect it up after activation the light works for the period of time that is programed for the courtesy light. I assume its a frequency issue in the LED Driver causing the interference.
I tried a small strip of 5050 LED's but as these were only 12V they didn't last long. They worked though without causing any interference to the operation of the doors... maybe a strip of 24V 5050 LEDs is the way to go...
Works in progress... any suggestions or has anyone out there tried it successfully??
