As for a transmission cooler, the earlier petrol 150s come with a factory trans cooler. I can only assume the very lastest petrols do as well. It's the diesels that don't come with one but that is another story.

I got properly bogged in super soft sand on a +40C day. Left the engine and a/c running the whole time in between trying to dig myself out as the better half was pretty shitty (advice just before it happened 'Whatever you do don't get bogged' = jinx)
Anyway the Prado never overheated, so I would say there is something else wrong. Agree about checking the radiator.
I run a fly screen in front of my radiator which is easy to clean for bugs etc, although the service guys keep removing it which shits me no end.Steve

This is what comes from middle aged men who still think they are teenagers but have the brains, reflexes and common sense of an infant!
No more mud challenges for me.
I think shopping and general transport will now be the norm!

Toyota said radiator and condeser clogged with mud as we all expected.
$1,100 repair bill as condensor needed replacing.
Does anyone know if you can get screens to stop mud etc getting up between the radiator and condensor fins?
I said to Toyota that this was supposed to be god's gift to 4 wheel driving and this is the second time in 8 months that it has failed due to a bit of mud!!!!!
But I guess I can take consolation from the fact that it was my fault and nort dikrect vehicle failure!
A much poorer david!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
