Prado 2.8 Automatic Softwate Update

The boys over at New Hilux.org have been talking about a software update for the auto. Supposedly its in Beta ans only limited dealers know about it.

Has anyone had their prado 6 speed auto updated ? Hilux guys are reporting good things.

If its for the bumping and flaring then yes I have. Not aware of any other updates.

I need that for mine, at 10k service I told them it was crap, apparently it was low on trans fluid at the 10k service �� Didn't make it any better though. I will talk to them about the software at the 20k service.

Mine was low on fluid from the factory also - tried to suggest the fitment of a trans cooler (around 250ml capacity as I recall) for the box being several litres low!!

Get the trans update, the shift from 3-4 is much better... (be aware the shifts from 1-2 and 2-3 are much firmer though)
