I've had to swap the rear bar twice due to people who forgot to stop. Both times it was cheaper to replace with OE than replace with a Kaymar etc. I also don't need the extra weight as she's a porky already. The only benefit I got was to swap the dodgy OE towbar to a Hayman Reese.

MLC had a MCC bar installed and ran it for a while. He swapped it out for another bar, AJ's custom bar. Unfortunately he doesn't post here anymore...

We don't tow outback, but I think there were changes to the bar just before we ordered that made it more compatible for other towbars.
The other non-kaymar bar worth looking at is the Raslarr bar. Locally made in Australia and priced between the MCC and the Kaymar. Given local assembly it might be able to be made compatible with your preferred towbar.
