Well there you go, cheers phoenix. Ill check them out over the weekend if there are any in Alice.
Bcf in brisbane had them the other day, as I want one that slides long ways and all they had was the sideways slide.

If you're any good at DIY (and have the time) you can make one up for at most $150 and have a slide that is exactly what you want, which you could also modify for other uses when the fridge isn't in.
I have had an ORS fridge slide for 18 months and am very happy with it. Smooth action, no rattles and it always securely locks in place. Highly recommended.
I know their expensive but if you get a chance have a look at the Platinum drop down fridge slide, we do a month touring holiday (7000k) every year moving every night, and the fact that my wife can get to the bottom of the fridge (Waeco 50lt) has saved many a tense moment. As a matter of fact we have Best Off Road researching a drawer system for our 150 series and the only criteria from "she who must be obeyed" is the drop down fridge slide "MUST FIT!!"

Russ I would like to claim credit for the cargo shelf but I bought it from someone with more engineering skills than I have - contact Damian Pianta ([email protected]).
I liked the idea of being able to install and remove the shelf when required (takes less than a minute either way) and yet have a system that is sturdy enough to take a decent load. As you can see from the photos the shelf folds for even greater flexibility so it is easy to configure for different situations.
