Why not get a steal on the current Kakadu, Do you need the 3 T rating ?

Hey Phs, primarily wanted the 3T for resale only, not towing at the moment but like some of the bling inside the new one

Getting some prices now for the Kak, hopefully I can manage some of the pricing some of the guys are getting on here at the moment

Can I assume that this is a Lease price? I'm thinking of doing just that and the best I can get so far with same acc except a genuine bull bar for ~$87k

No, it's not a lease, just a normal retail sale. I thought the genuine bull bars were $2000+.....if so your price is getting close to mine. I don't know if different states have anything to do with it. The other 2 dealers i visited wouldn't match the price either.

Does the price goes down as year progresses.

I was wondering if prices go down as year progresses. As last time I checked in the website before new model was released they were giving driveway price to be 63k. Now it is showing as 68.

Does the price decrease between now and June. Just wondering if its worth the wait if I don't need the car now.

That looks like one hell of a deal. I have a quote for Kakadu with metallic paint only at $83000, so you've managed to blag an awful lot for an extra ~$2k. I think the tow pack itself retails around $1800, the nudge bar goes for just under $1000, and bonnet protector about $200.

Yea unfortunately you've got to take these things with a grain of salt. The more and more data that database gets, the more you will be able to see the outliers and the potential fabricators that are just making stuff up... you can see a cluster of people around the low 60 mark and they seem to be in WA and QLD...

Saw the local dealer today. Stock is in tomorrow. He may as well have said that they (and Toyota) don't care if I want a manual. 99% sold are auto except the GX to mining companies. He claimed there would be no manual version in all of Vic for me to even test drive. If I wanted to order from the factory they would want a very large deposit in case the sale fell through....

Go to another dealer, that is just BS. I've had two new Prado 150 GXL manuals - a 2013 facelift and a 2015 last of the 1kd's. My dealer called around to others to find my colour preference both times and I had delivery in more than 3 weeks. You might have to wait a bit longer for a 2018 until the initial demand subsides, but don't be tricked thinking it's a factory order.

Be persistent and go the manual anyway - i don't get it why the world's gone soft and dumb with everyone buying autos when there's a choice of a stick shift

I love Manual, but horses for courses. I have a weekend car that is manual that I have fun in. The 4x4 is for commuting and touring and general purpose. Means Auto is the go. If it was my ONLY car I would have a dilemma on my hands I think, because I do love a manual...
