We are going on our first camping trip as a family, our only concern was the 3 yo wanting do number one's in the middle of the night. No problems i said we will just get a porta potti. After looking at them at BCF for anywhere near $100-$200 dollars i decided not to buy one as it was only for the night's emergancies. Working in the garage today i had a BRAIN wave. I turned a milk crate unside down cut a hole in the bottom a little bit smaller than the top of the bucket put the bucket inside and instant porta potti. I thought i would put some sand in the bottom to soak anything up and in the morning just through it out in bush and wash out the bucket, best part was the Price, nothing!! had the bucket and the milk crate.

On a camping trip years ago, some friends of ours had made a portable dunny arrangement. They'd pulled an old toilet seat off a broken down dunny at a tip. Then cut the top third off a 44 gallon / 200L drum, and put a hole in the top for the errrrrrrrr....... business. A simple attachment of the toilet seat and voila! One outback porta toilet! The Idea was though, you needed to dig a largish hole at your campsite and place the dunny on top of that. Then you needed to locate it out in the wilderness away from camp for some privacy. Simple, but it was very effective. Just fill in the hole when you go.

Hutch....great innovation for the little one 8) but I think I need something that has substantial support for my large American a$%

.......so Uncle Booger's Bumper Dumper may be more suitable for me

and I can hook it to a tree if I need more privacy

You don't want to be sitting to long otherwise you get the milk crate grid pattern on your behind!
