  • Weakest point in a 1GR-FE

well i always liked the Prado 120 and had those evil thoughts for it in the future....lol.....that i want it to be turbocharged. Now i wanted to know the weakest area in the 1GRFE engine? would it be the sleeves? head design? transmission? something else?

well im sure pistons and rods, but didn't mention those cause they will be upgraded anyway. I assume it should be upgraded as the car didn't at least come turbocharged from the factory.

what about the fuel consumption Stevensr34? are you trying to say that the 120 uses a returnless fuel system? or a weak fuel pump?

They just use plenty of it. Strong engine with very few problems.
