Ive been using an Iridium Sat Phone for a while now with a Beam cradle and antenna. It doesn't work to bad, but the cradle is a monster and Ive never been able to come up wit a great place to mount it permanently. I just stick it to the glass on a big trip and it does the job.
I have been looking recently though at the Iridium GO! which is essential a satellite wifi hot spot that also allows you to make voice calls as well from your smart phone.
If it works it sounds like a great solution.
Has anyone tried them out yet? If so, where would you mount it in a 150? and are you using an externally mounted antenna?
Id be glad to hear anyone's input on the subject
