  • Platypus flat - supercharged v6

On my travels, I ran into a fellow who had installed this supercharger, http://www.rgmotorsport.com/Index%20Con ... .0_SP1.pdf along with a nice big off centred bonnet scoop. He claimed and it sounded like it pumped out just over 300KW.

The vehicle was equiped with other very professional looking mods.

Been covered a few times before, do you have pictures of said install on this vehicle?
I notice the pamphlet you show is a South African one? (Using the Australian kit).

This is the guy that makes the kits. Here in South Australia.

It equates to about 280 Kw at engine (up from 180) and after the drivetrain about 185 KW at wheels.

    Cost is around 10k.

interesting they make the SC kit in Aust.

the vehicle had a mandrel exhaust plus a couple of 'extra' mods to make up the extra KWs, very professionally done

      unfortunately no photos

I wonder why a bonnet bulge? It all fits under the standard bonnet from what I have seen. But say goodbye to a second battery!!!

The plumping definitely took up all the spare room under the bonnet. It looks like the air cleaner had been moved toward the front. It was slightly different to the one in the picts as there were some nice midnight blue alloy fittings with woven hoses in there too.

I wonder if the extra nostril would be needed for cooling the SC or extra engine heat ? Maybe just a USA Monaro look though ?

I am surprised some one has not put some photos up. There are at least 4 of these SC V6 prados with a bonnet scoop. My guess would be insurance/rego problems ??

bloody good idea, but think about it, the prado clutches arnt the strongest around, it would be my first upgrade i would do, then the rear diff comes into question, not to mention front cvs, it would go like a shower of shyte but you would have to strengthen the driveline
had an 03 gx 120 with some gear now got a 2013 bt 50 GT auto some ARB gear.
