That is pretty piss poor workmanship, but not expected. I would make a formal complaint to the shop, headquarters and fair trade in writing.
"Ooops I just deleted the internet, lucky I was able to recover 99.7% of it out of the bin"

Exactly the same experience when I first got the Prado....... again a large local 4WD franchise, they just couldn't see what was wrong "close enough" was their discription, ended up taking it to (Mods can delete if not appropriate) ARB Northside, the guys in this particular workshop are passionate about the trucks they look after, and you can really see the difference in attitude and the job they do.

What BF forgot to mention was that a part under the bullbar was cut too short and is now held together with a zip tie   !! I'm sure when he reads this he will tell you which part because I forget ops: . The right blinker in the bullbar works when it feels like, wiring is a shocker. The snorkel looks good but we won't know how it performs until we go for a swim in the car  ! All up $3500 went to them and I wish I could name them here  , but won't for legal reasons. But...word of MOUTH works a treat  ! And, when you mention this place to people in our area, they all seem to have a similar story  . Can't see them lasting too much longer, and good riddance. Funnily enough, head offce has "never heard anything bad come from this store". Whatever  !!

I would then highly suggest someone digs up Head offices state or national managers number and you all forward you complaints in mass.
And cc them to consumer affairs.

Just to give you guys an idea of the some of the people these "major" 4x4 accessory places employ or are prepared to employ:

About a year ago I was pissed off with my job and answered an ad for an accessory fitter. Got to the interview and the 2 guys interviewing me seemed more interested in my willingness to work overtime and weekends and whether I was fit enough to lift a 50kg bullbar  rather than my actual mechanical or electrical knowledge and ability. My only mechanical qualifications is as a fitter and turner (which I haven't worked as since my apprenticeship nearly 20 years ago!) I couldn't believe it.

Anyway I didn't take the job and I'm still pissed off with my current job but that's another story. Needless to say I'm not surprised when I hear stories like yours about shonky and careless workmanship.
