Although a new member I didn't get the email, but can appreciate what admins/mods have to deal with.
I run a bike forum myself (Owner) and am a mod on one of the USA's biggest bike forums, and it can sometimes just be painful, especially as you do it for nothing.
One thing that often people forget is that somewhere along the line, someone is paying to run the forums people frequent, and most often it is at no cost to the members. Hosting costs, and for phpBB the software license and the domain is usually paid for by the site owners, and if the site is large with images hosted on the site itself, can cost $100 month.
Thank you... to ALL the admin and moderators... I hardly find enough time to enjoy this site as much as I should let alone trying to moderate it.
Really, hats off to all you guys (and gals if there are any ) who put so much time and effort keeping this site running.
Cheers, Leon There's no such thing as a wrong turn... it's just the scenic route!

Well, I was a bit dubious about posting for fear of those powers that be thinking I cared about post count (I've been rather active here lately - SWMBO has been in hospital, and me on Uni hols)
But...I think this post has been in order for a long time. Another who has modded a site some years back, and fully appreciate the time you guys put into this. The spammer thing really gets annoying, and I can't believe the time they put into weasling their way in.
You fellas all keep a very balanced approach to dealing with everyone whilst keeping active in regards to your own interests on the forum...and that's what makes this place work well I reckon.
Keep it up, we love it and even SWMBO believes the jokes page is the best she's read on a forum of late
Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Death to Spammers! They can go jump in the lake! They cam jump anywhere they like so long as it isn't in this forum! Damn trouble makers! I never did like Spam anyway... tasted friggin horrible.. :?

Yes, many thanks to the team of PP, great job you all do for us. This forum is the main reason I bought the D4D, after reading all the available resources and brain drainage of the veteren members, it sold me So keep up the good work and long live PP
None of us is perfect (I am referring to me), but these guys do a great job in managing the masses of posts/complaints/whingers/dickheads and still manage to keep the forum as readable and as fun a place as it is.
Like any volunteers, they give of their own time, for no reward - and receive nothing in return except the satisfaction of a job well done.
The least we can do is to show some appreciation in return.
One disgusting thing concerning volunteers is the woman I read about this morning suing the St. Johns Ambulance, because she claims the first aid rendered to her was an "assault". Makes you wonder why people want to risk volunteering to do anything...
Yet despite it all, we're glad that our mods have the generosity to give of their time and the balls to stand up to and weed out the dickheads.
Thanks for a great site and the effort you put in to keep it going Keep up the good work 110% behind you and hats off to you thanks Digger

Along with thanks to all our moderators, I'd like to say an extra quick public thankyou to TP (Team Piggy) for taking care of the freight on our recent interstate tyre purchase. All I did was pay for my tyre and TP took care of the rest.
Thanks again TP

Bump - with all the comments about a 'fee' for the forum, I thought it would be timely to revive this thread and once again give a big thank you to express our appreciation to the admin crew and moderators for ensuring that this forum runs smoothly, is fun and considerate and, perhaps most importantly of all, shares lots of helpful information and good spirit amongst all its members.
Cheers.!!!
