Admin and Mods have been tested a fair bit over the past couple of days. Well done for their handling of this (on going) matter.

The forum is bigger than any one individual or business. Hopefully we can all move on and get back to what this forum is all about. Friendship, love of Prado's, helping mates and getting out and about in our 4wd's.

I realised today that your position of being wedged between a rock and a hard place is a tough one and became apparently clear looking back over time!

The feeling of respect and being humbled today resonates clearly to me

on that note two phrases come to mined and they are not directed @ you guys.

#1 If you give someone enough rope they will hang themselves with it!

#2 You can take the lion out of the jungle but you can not take the jungle out of the lion!...

Sorry for short reply but i couldn't resist the gap of opportunity and it seemed funny at the time!

I think I'd better explain a little more to the bigger picture!

There has been some issues brewing for awhile with a sponsor and a few threads was removed and all the conversations and debates went with it!

Coincidentally the removal of threads was a small part of the issues in question as well!.

A thank-you and show of support for the Pradopoint site Administrators and Moderators is in order.

In the months leading up to ordering my Prado in 2007, I came acros the Pradopoint forums and I think I've read every topic on this site (and not just for the 120 series).

The amount of relevant information has been invaluable and save me blood, sweat, tears and a fist full of dollars.

However, the Pradopoint web site wouldn't function without the work behind the scenes of a dedicated group of Administrators and Moderators.

I was sadened that there was a recent need for an e-mail to members reminding them of 'the Rules'.

The behaviour described in the e-mail was inappropriate and unacceptable.

It has moved me to create this topic as my way of showing appreciation to those doing the critical work that makes Pradopoint the excellent forum that it is.

You have my total support in expelling or suspending anyone whose conduct becomes offensive.

To all our Administrators and Moderators, a very big Thank-you for all the work you have done and continue to do.

Just wanted to drop in and thank Prado point admin for allowing us as members the freedom of posting and even posting controversial things that maybe they don't agree with. I want to thank them them for this forum that provides so much amazing information that helps us all to deal with things that arise with our pride and joy. I know you don't get paid for what you do and I am sure on behalf of the other PP's we really appreciate all you do...... Thank you.

This could be controversial, I think the site is great, but I'm tired of hearing everyone privately saying how they think one admin in particular is the PP POLICE, much is not allowed, I agreed more needed to be done, but I also agree with all these privately shared opinions that there is one that is so harsh at times it's just unnecessary.
Who knows I might get in trouble for saying the truth & the way I see it.
Don't forget to thank the members who hang around & provide & share their info, now we are loosing some good guys, I see them dropping off. These members are what makes the site what it is.
I think we need to get the balance right & it's not there yet.

Well said.....I have had emails by some members feeling that one mod in particular is over policing a sight that is for knowledge, friendship, and the love of Prado's and Not having to face scathing comments and threats from an over zealous mod. To the rest of the mods you do a Brillant job and we all appreciate what you do.

Who are the rest of the mods? All I really see is Piggy (who we all know is who are talking about talking so stop beating around the bush) and Matty&Loz.when shoot hits the fan those are the only two names I really see doing anything... which is half the reason piggy was asked to comeback to my understanding. When all this infighting starts and we have all the whinge threads, dummy spit threads and the goodbye cruel world threads and the remainder of the mods had decided to do some thing about it, there would be no reason for Piggy and Matty&Loz to take the hardline they have been.

I really only joined the forum a few months ago and EVERY thread went off topic due to a particular group of people that got their noses out of joint when told to play by rules and etiquette. Now the threads get closed or they pulled into line and a discussion about someone's suspension doesn't turn into a discussion about stuffed possums.

While I don't always agree with Piggy's modus operandi I don't disagree with the end result. I don't thanks the mods and admin this is the job and I think they could it better instead of leaving it two people to carry 90% of the load. If the kitchen is to hot, get out and get another cook in.

Given that it's mostly down to two people who despite how it appears, actually have lives outside of the forum... unlike many members here... the last thing they want is spend all their spare time moderating a bunch of immature grown men so they need to deal with issues swiftly instead of trying to placate everyone.

Honestly, over at justcommodores where it is predominantly young males who we stereotype as p-plater hoons, they show more self control on a public forum then people do here.

So to members here that cause problems, please pull your head in and to the mods that leave everything to the rest of them team to do the work and cop the flack... please pull your finger out, it's not fair on the rest of your team you agreed to be a part of.

My flame suit is on and I'm ready for whatever you have... as I'm happy to choose to ignore you.

Melbo 27-5-13 (where are you mate?)
MDSimpson was here a few days ago but has posted in over two months
Prado admin here on a regular basis but no posting in over two months

C'mon guys, your teammates are getting slaughtered in here! lol
