Hi Everyone, sold my older 95 series V6 Grande prado and bought a 01 Turbo diesel model Grande. Very happy with it at the moment (so far so good) 
. Have heard of a few issues with heads on the 1Kz's but will worry about it if it happens :? , well wont worry about it just get it fixed. It has 78k on it,auto with all the usual grande options, stability control, traction control, leather,sunroof, etc. Ended up getting it for $24k one owner (think the price was ok ??) :?: :?: , little bit thirstier on the fuel then I thought but am comparing it to the old 2.8D hilux, that use to get around the 10's 10.5 per 100, have checked the prado over the last few weeks, highest so far has been 13.9L per 100 but this is stop start, not even 20k round trip to work, running to local shops etc so still better then the 17.2 the old V6 was getting :shock: :shock: , this week was 11.5 with two days to and from work 40k the other 120 was two trips to Windsor and back.Going up coast tomorrow so will see how it goes on the freeway, fuel consumption, pulling up Mooney Mooney, Hawsbury etc at 110k not going to baby it, hoping it should be around the 11's ??. :?: I have heard of the 120 series with the 1KZ motor in them (not D4D) and some were saying they are using around 15's stop start driving down to 11's freeway ??.but would expect this as they are a bigger vehicle.......
