Yeah Samo, I have had the same problem, have look at the topic "Fridge woes", my post second page. (one day I'll work out how to do links or something to other posts)
D4D, toothbrush, soap, shampoo, thongs, stubbie cooler, fishing rods and rod holder, tide chart, bundy, snatch strap.
Took it back to Opposite Lock and they replaced the polyfuse and she works fine now....
From memory the red error light would flash quickly 3 times (ie in groups of three) indicating a more serious error.
I still get the occassional single flash error if the voltage on my Waeco Powerpac has dropped to too low a voltage (ie 11.4 volts or something) - but that is fine - just telling me to charge the battery with my sinergex battery charger..
Might be a silly question buts where is the poly fuse?

I had a dual battery system installed last week, so I tend to just leave the weaco 60L on all the time in the back of the prado.
All of a sudden the Waeco went dead on 12 volts, nothing happening  She worked fine on 240 Volt but not a beep on 12 volt.
Ended up taking it to a refrigeration technician who inspected the lead (derr you say) and discovered that the plastic near the 12 volt plug (or hella connection i think it is called) had literally melted. Overheating for some reason :?:
I suspect that the hella connection sometimes gets loose, creating a poor connection with a danger of the plug overheating.
I am thinking of hard-wiring the waeco to my dual battery system if anyone out there has done that :?: would love to see photographs :P
I had a waeco 50 and melted 2 plugs before I decided to cut the cigarette plug off and just ran a wire from the battery and put male and female terminals on the wire. No more melting plugs and no more worry about the cigarette plug coming loose on the travels

I use a Flyer box from ABR to hold a Full River 120amp AGM battery and it runs a WaecoCF50 and a CF18 (used as freezer) .
This is an original photo
Had a bit of a problem with the small black plug and replaced it with a 2 pin plug set up and it works brilliantly.
Also have one of ABR's 20amp battery charger which I use to charge battery and it sits beside battery box in back of Prado and is used whenever we have 240v available.
If I am going on a short trip and don't want to put in 2nd battery have a Waeco plug with an Anderson plug on the end. I can connect this the anderson plug which would normally go to the battery box (12v In , in photo).
Only problem with this is that when ignition is off Waeco goes off to, but the upside is there is no chance of flat battery.
No one has asked where you had the "voltage cut out" set at? It is a three position switch, either near the emergency overide or set in the temperature settings using the temperature control buttons( consult your instruction manual). If it was set to high, then it would cut out at 12.7V, medium 11.7V and low at 10.5V. I found with my 50ltr that i have to keep it set on low to make the fridge function properly after 24 hrs without the car running( small Idiosyncrasy). I think that this defeats the purpose of the user selectable voltage cut out, but at least I can still keep the beer( food) cold.
Out of interest my fridge will run at 2degrees for 4 days using a 105AH battery once the battery is fully charged.
I had the same problem from new with my Waeco 60lt. Plug into 240v and it works perfect, plug into 12v and the red light starts flashing a few seconds later. I had it back to the local repairer 4 times before they fixed it. I was told they had replaced everything inside by the time they had finished.
My opinion is they didn't even look at it for the first two times it went there. That was a few years ago and been working great ever since. Luck of the draw to which fridge you get I reckon. Got mine for free so I didn't complain.
