    Re: Forum Access on iPhone

I recently got an iphone when I upgraded my contract, very impressive in every department, apart from that is actually being a phone! The signal is shocking, I dont even get a signal in my own home, yet my wifes 5 year old Nokia works perfectly! Same provider.
You'd think all that techno stuff in the phone but they forgot the bloody aerial.

      G'day Pomp,

I can only suggest you've ended up with a Dodgy phone, as I have consistenly had better coverage than N95's on fringe areas down here in Tas, but that
is on NextG, so 850Mhz . Can vouch for this, as I have had 3 iPhones, and all displayed the same excellent coverage ! May be the iphone does'nt work as well
on other frequencies (2100 Mhz) etc. The biggest bugga is you don't have the option of an external aerial for those Real fringe areas.

The Forum App seems to be working really well now, anyone else using it ?

      Cheers

I use Tapatalk forum app which is compatible with most forum scripts, including phpBB & SMF but can't access PradoPoint as it's not registered.

Note to mods - very simple to install the package for Tapatalk & the forum is listed for free on it's website. I've set it up on my forum rantFUJAK http://fujak.com/fujakforum which uses SMF & it seems to work well.

          Hi BenTas,
I think nextG is the way to go, Im on 3 which isnt the best I know. I did a search on the net and disovered that iphone's are renowned for their bad signal so I dont think I have a faulty phone.
The annoying thing is I wanted to use it for its superb Geo-caching app but anywhere slightly remote and I get no signal, I was thinking of trying a nextG pay as go sim card next time I go camping.
Is there anything out there that could improve the iphone signal?

            Re: Forum Access on iPhone

The early (2G) iphones carainly had reception issues, but the current lot of 3G & 3GS are excellent on Next G, but not as good as any external antenna ever will be.
