I am new to Brisbane and looking for some tracks close by. Any recommendations? Any direction is OK as I live in the Redlands.

As Atherton said depends what you want to so.
have a look through here:
https://www.pradopoint.com.au/forum/...ng-and-reports
also, in no particular order...
Mt Mee
Stradbroke and Moreton Islands
Condamine gorge
Duck Ck Rd
Landcruiser Mtn Park
Conondale NP
Gordon country
Imbil state forest
etc
have a google too.
Note: some of these may be closed or bad after recent rains. Some tracks are tough and are more than most Prados can handle so don't head off solo thinking everything is a cakewalk. Not really sure what a cakewalk is but probably a lot easier than big red in glasshouse at the moment. My 150 build - http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread.php?27423-A-Random-approach-to-a-Bluestorm-150-GXL-D4D-automatic

#1 took his all singing all dancing pooey ute up it a week or so ago. Said it was boring. The video tells a different story and of course there is much worse on offer up there too.My 150 build - http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread.php?27423-A-Random-approach-to-a-Bluestorm-150-GXL-D4D-automatic

Like others have said, some good tracks around Beerburrum (easy) and Glasshouse power line tracks (some quite challenging), Mt Mee (pretty tame) and Teewah beach from Noosa to Rainbow (easy but fun).
I haven't done Bribie but want to go soon, heard it can be fun along the inland track.
Up near Kenilworth are some fun tracks that aren't too hard (Amamoor/Conondale/Imbil). Also Condamine River Road is cool for its 14 river crossings along the one road, but they are very easy unless the river is too high due to rain.
With QLD plantations closing down tracks around Glasshouse (mud mile permanently closed now) it is worth looking at the list of 4WD parks for day trips or overnighters.
There used to be some lurky 4wd tracks around the Redlands area but they have all been blocked off or had gates installed a few years ago.

just advising , Duck ck rd was closed about a year ago after storms made a mess of it and then there was a fatal accident a few days later. . i went about 6 mounths ago and had a look but it was still closed and serious deep riffs to get through , and that was only the first 100 mtrs. i imagine it is still closed and unless some serious work is done it will remain that way for a long time to come. shame!
But thanks for the heads up on a few of those tracks people , i will look forward to checking a few out myself.
we were on the rainbow beech to noosa beech run the other week and there is a recreational area about a third of the way down that was packed with people and 4x4s , what a beautiful spot , and easy run on low tide only
