Having to go on the high side to get past a stricken vehicle on the beach. The vehicles before me cut the sand up fairly badly and with my new suspension and not quite enough low tyre pleasure I slid down the Sloap rear end first then the front tyres caught in the vegetation acting like a grader the playdo went over. I was not going fast probbarbly 5 to 10 ks , didn’t take much with little flex . Also I’ve just had all new upper and lower control arm fitted so the car was still very stiff in the front end . Looking back I should have been lower in tyre pressure at least down to Ten PSI.
not bad it’s my first accident in 40 years of driving.

I must say that Cub 4x4 were very responsive and easy to deal with in getting the car fixed. But now they have in my opinion given the 4wdrive community a cold shoulder with there changes in what they cover. No where as good as when I first joined.

Interesting comment Trev. So couple of questions:

Was this near Ti Tree Xing?

Any issues with your claim and Club 4x4 as you were off road?

Why do you say they have given the 4x4 community a cold shoulder? (I also heard their 4x4 offroad remote recovery is a bit unscrupulous too).

Some interesting posts appearing about Club 4x4 tonight on some other 4wd pages.. Certainly sounds like you got lucky with them Trev. Basic: 4x4 hits cow and club 4x4 refusing insurance because the guys kids claimed a few windscreens in their cars (with other insurers) over the last few years and he didn't declare it! Whatttt!

Funny today they called to say that my repairs had been approved. The car is in getting repaired as both myself and the repairer received an email Two weeks ago approving the repair . Really looks like the left does not know what the right is doing.

Definitely looks like they have had more claims than expected thus why there premium has increased and why they have changed there termination on a lot of the products offered. No longer in your basic cover is personal effects , hire car , towing up to $ 1500 now its to the nearest main hiway .

Wow. I knew about the added cost of a water-crossing-gone-wrong claim, but not on the hire car, personal effects or that the $1500 is to the nearest main hwy! They're expensive to begin with - looks like it may be time to jump back over to the old one once I'm up for renewal...
