  • Mounting a roof basket

I am mounting a Ridge Ryder roof basket to my Rhino Racks and the bolts seem to protrude into the basket a considerable way. Is this correct?

I’m not familiar with this product, but is there a possibility that the clamps are installed incorrectly?

Would the clamps work with the thread facing down towards the roof?

Alternatively try trimming the threads of the clamps to the desired length.

A photo would really help here as there are a few ways to mount a mesh basket depending on which style of rack and what hardware was supplied.

Put them with the nuts DOWN underneath. Bugger to do up but solves your problem. Then either tape around the 2 knurled nuts on each one to stop them coming loose or drill 1 small hole through each hut and run a piece of thin wire through them to stop them turning.
