  • 150 GXL Door Trim Removal

    Hey,
Hope everyone is having a great day. I recently bought a 2011 150 GXL used (low KMs, well maintained and good price) and the interior trim had faded. I ordered some black vinyl wrap to cover and 'fix' these places. Just curious if anyone knows how to remove the plastic parts from the doors and off the gear stick.

Doors off memory mostly pull off. I think you have to pull the cover off the grab handle and there's a screw behind there. I think that's the only screw. The rest of it is just those pop clip things, so start at an edge and pry the door card off carefully with your fingers.

Yep that's it. Forgot about the screw behind the handle cover piece!
Pretty self explanatory with that video, it's easy. Just be careful using a flat headed screwdriver to pry off the pieces so you don't scratch. Wrapping the end of the screwdriver in a thin rag/piece of cloth helps

The door trim right at the top has cracked on mine, I was wondering how to fix it without buying a whole new door card. Might give that a try, thanks.

It should work, you don't need any special vinyl, I just got some off eBay for $5 and it worked perfectly, had to take one off the first try and came off with none of that sticky leftovers. Using a hair dryer helps a lot too. Good luck with it

Have you got any pics? I was thinking about wrapping my door cards and hydrodipping the plastic trim bits in something a bit funky

I'll get some tomorrow and upload them, they look pretty good(imo), especially for a first-timer

Door panels: Vinyl turned out to be too short, tried to link two parts seamlessly but seems to have not worked. But yeah, other than that, worked pretty well and looks alright, ordered the 60cmx150xm and will fix it.

Gear lever: Tried to cover the scratches but did not work, if anyone knows how to remove the trim piece on the gear lever, please let me know,
